Thank you so much. You have a calm demeanor that reminds me of my beloved music teacher back when I used to play. I was looking for this song just to listen to, but I stumbled upon your video and now I feel inspired. Much love from Tennessee. i hope that you and yours are well and happy.

Hi, I'm just starting with the guitar. What's the chord between C and D7? I mean how exactly do you finger that B flat? I didn't get it by googling... Thanks in advance!

I can't figure out how you are forming your Bb. Any chance you could respond to this comment and tell me how to shape it with my fingers?
Hi Mark,
I'm still a beginner teaching myself, but I really like the way you break it down into base line and melody. It's easier to understand than following tabs with everything on.
I've practised playing chords & the 434 534 base line until I could do it with my eyes closed and I've got the melody now. As soon as I try combining them I just lose it. Any tips?

Good, you are almost there. Here is what I did: play the alternating base line, and then just add the 3rd string only with it at first. It sounds pretty good and gets your rhythm going. Then add the melody lines on the 1st and 2nd strings. Keep practicing and you will get it!

I read your description about the accents Paul Simon plays. I really want to learn them but I still can't figure them out with your description. Could you please give a more detailed description with the fretpositions? Overall a great lesson! Thanks a lot!

When I said play the 2nd and 3rd string for the accent together, I should have said 1st string (3rd fret) and second string (open fret). The rest is your homework ;>)

could you clarify any accents that you show in the video to help without needing a whole other video to show it? It sounds really sweet thrown in with the picking pattern you showed. thanks

Just add some accents, hammers, and pulls with the first string e, 2nd strind d, c, and b notes as you keep the base moving.
