Giuseppe Logan is alive despite rumors that he had died and he still has the fire to play and write music. I found him playing on a freezing cold morning in Tompkins Square Park near where he used to live in the 1960's. You can see a youtube video on him from the 1960's but his name is spelled Giuseppi Logan.
Tim Madison was the first person to reach out to me and tell me how moving my video and explain the history of Giuseppe's achievements. Tim is based in Michigan and he is very familiar with Giuseppe's records, contribution and history. He was able to contact Giuseppe because I posted his tele. no with his permission and I look forward to reading Tim's articles.
http://blog.wfmu.org/freeform/2009/01/lost-and-blessedly-found-giuseppi-logan... Doug's cover is very moving including about son and grandson.
He is playing at the Bowery Poetry Club February 17.
http://www.timeout.com/newyork/articles/music/71515/giuseppi-logan read the comment I posted because again I felt my work was used but I was erased
I believe Giuseppe Logan will make a comeback and maybe a film will tell this urban version of "Shine". He has a following of people that have his records and greatly appreciate his music, achievements and contributions.

I redid the video because of a typo and I want to remind people I am an artist, that I had to move, sell my home under duress and am extremely exhausted and in a healing process myself.
As an artist I felt magnetized to Giuseppe because he was alone playing his music to an empty park so I had a New York moment artist to artist.
Thank you,
Suzannah B. Troy
This is an aside about me...
* Tim Madison was key in validating my filming of Giuseppe as significant and I also trust him in terms of integrity where in contrast my feeling was my coverage of Karen and Love Saves the Day was completely ripped off, and I was not credited by the person that I believe stole or referred to my work and the sites that chose to post his photograph that was a virutal copy of mine with a more expensive camera I felt were wrong to do so since I had the photo and coverage posted before he did. I have felt this way "ripped off" for most of my life with my sports, arts and even political hard work like contacting the city over and over about the St. Ann's NYU mega speed build and the way too rapid development pace. When there was a supposedly chill on 7 days a week construction slow down to 5 which was laughable certain people were credited, not me and the same with me being completely erased from the Whole Earth Bakery and Kitchen rally by the Villager -- their reporter telling the editor I didn't say anything different when in fact I did -- I was the only one that talked about Filomena's death -- she died at 94 knowing her dream her bakery was not thrown out on the street -- and all the love she sent was directed back by you the community and I praised them and thanked Amy Zimmer for her article and it was erased with my demand for NYU and every mega dorm to open up their doors and give us community outreach resource centers to help with small business and people struggling to survive in the community with free computer use, with a table to ask for volunteers. The reporter told the editor who did I think I am -- was I running for office so they cut me out completely. There is more to this story....
This time around it looks like I am not erased. Tim told me my video moved him. I told him it moved me. It still does I watch it over and over. I felt so much compassion.
Looking at the video on youtube of the same park from the 1960's makes my filming even more haunting and deeply haunting. I am honored to be part of this story in some humble way, truly honored and I was so fortunate to walk and talk with him. Because I filmed him, worked on my macbook and post this, I was able to touch other people that deeply care for him and his creativity. As an artist to tired to pick up her paint brushes right now this was my art and deeply satisfying and I didn't have to clean any paintbrushed to touch people and make them feel. Giuseppe and I just clicked in the moment and I am so glad I twirled around and show you how isolated the park is which is telling as well. In the original video he is filled with life and his life is full and in my mine his fire still burns and he is coming out of a personal deep freeze. So glad Tim found me when he did and talked to me, interviewed me and validated my work.
I wrote Murderville East Village (free podcast in itunes) and their is a ghost of a woman activist -- fictional but I felt like I was a ghost -- my ghost from the story and he was like a ghost-- I am an artist struggling every day and so is he...so amazing people thought he was dead supercharged for me for so many reasons...east village artists haunting Tompkins...

@marianoequizzi Giuseppi Logan is playing tomorrow night and if you type Bobbystarshooter and Giuseppi Logan in YouTube search engine you can see a documentary Bobby and GL's son Jaee are working on. I have 21 YouTubes on GL and his birthday is next week. Thanks for tuning in and commenting.

Giuseppe Logan is a National Treasure
Is there some way to get some help to him in the form of money, a better instrument, gigs, etc.? William Parker gave Henry Grimes a Bass. Is there anyone out there who has the wherewithall to do the same for Giuseppe? If so everybody wins

@yaziji GL has gigs coming up and his birthday too. His new CD is doing well and you can buy it on Amazon. If you search under Giuseppi Logan and Bobbystarshooter you can find a new series of YouTubes with GL and his son Jaee reunited for the first time. I have about 21 YouTubes. Thanks for tuning in and for your comment.
