@panniize The last news I heard about India had to do with a famine caused by the government leaving grain meant for distribution to the poor rotting in warehouses to "stimulate the market", then there was the story of "suttee by starvation" where widows are routinely turned out by their families to starve on street, then there was the Commonwealth Games, then the thousands of small farmers who were driven to suicide by govt. neo-liberal policies and then... but you get the picture.
