@DaPharaoh06 I'm not writing off "green collar" jobs, mainly because there never will be any. Can't write off what doesn't exist in the first place. But if you feel that strongly abt. green companies, but your money where your mouth is and invest your savings into those publicly-traded green company stocks. The whole "green" energy industry cannot and will never be self-sustaining, and thus to even have such a thing is essentially to create yet another gov't. handout in perpetuity.

@spitfire71068 Writing off all green collar jobs because of Solyndra is like writing off the entire American free enterprise system because of the Wall Street Crash of 2008. It just isn't fair... Not every green company is like Solyendra and not every bank is like Goldman Sachs or BOA. *smh*

Two words: Solyndra. Bankruptcy. So much for a successful "green collar" jobs company. Half a billion tax payer dollars down the toilet.

@macgeek2004 Phil Jones. Climate Research Unit. University of East Anglia. IPCC. Leaked e-mails. "Hide the decline". Copy, paste, google. Then we'll see who's the huckster/denier.

"SolFocus assembles its solar panels in China, and the new San Jose headquarters employs just 90 people.
In the Bay Area as in much of the country, the green economy is not proving to be the job-creation engine that many politicians envisioned. President Obama once pledged to create five million green jobs over 10 years. Gov. Jerry Brown promised 500,000 clean-technology jobs statewide by the end of the decade. But the results so far suggest such numbers are a pipe dream." --New York Times

Armchair intellectualism at its best. It reminds of old propaganda by Mao Zedong with his arm out blessing the hill side as everyone is "working happily".
These people are fucking sick and to stupid to realize there utopia fucktard version of the world does not exist.

Damn, too bad they would lower the value of the house and leave people even more underwater than before..........damn. If only a banker friendly president would borrow more money from the banks to fund an effort to create more homes that have more money dumped into them than they are worth. Great thing is Obama will give the banks the money you didn't want to pay them for the house you paid too much for going "green". People forget who paid for those "tax credits" "incentives" "rebates"
I think perhaps his most impressive accomplishment is that he's become an economic/environmental guru without actually knowing anything about either field.
First comment was just a bit of sarcasm.
