I lived at 222 schwerin bld b apt 1105. I was very young and impressionable. I ended up hanging with the wrong crowd and ultimatly losing my apt. It was home although I would not consider it to be a big loss. The roaches were too much even though my apt was clean. I only found roaches behind the stove. I did not have kids and I worked, so roaches did not come to live. I miss the Towers even though they were a living hell.

That's crazy! I lived in the B building on the 5th floor until 1987. Elevators sometimes didn't work so we had to use the piss infested-dirty ass stairs with no lights. Sometimes people didn't use the garbage chute and just threw there trash out the balcony window onto the playing areas.

I lived on the 10th floor, apt 1005. It was a cool place back in 1986 but you had to resolve your whole life around the elevators. Of the three, only 2 worked the whole time I lived there for 4 years. The roaches were a constant fight, and I was super clean. Glad it's gone. What a rat trap!

The destruction of the towers was one of the best things to ever happen to San Francisco. It was reported that shortly after the Loma Prieta earthquake on Oct. 17, 1989, a bus that had the misfortune to be there was attacked by low-life gang bangers where they stormed the bus and robbed passengers, one of whom was injured badly. The towers were occupied by criminals.
