@pepsiru1es92 actually sometimes that is actaully the tv's fault

in my opinion so what if u cant use AV and doesnt have a powerlight? now, i could care WAY less about a powerlight, and the LAST thing i'd want to do is try taking it apart and rewiring stuff in it just to install that stuff, risking destroying the thing for good. they seem to be getting harder to come by. i love the top loader. just stick in a game and GO!
i use a Zenith analog glass-screen TV and really thats all i even need to play my games. i'm not even much for newgen games.

You do know that you can buy NES Dogbone contollers on ebay right?
I bought one and it was an official NES.
-
my n64 rf did that a while ago
-
well the reason he has lines is probably the rf switch it self not the tv or signal ud get from a g ood cable

@Napalmburns Oh... Well I'll have to try it out when I get the voltage thing and hope for the best. And I'm from the UK, not Sweden. So I'm not quite sure...
-
@TrueDarkNesa no no the console is regionfree from what i know. What i meant was the console wont work on a pal tv. Atleast not swedish ones. Ive talke to a few that bought this one and some managed to get picture but no audio and other troubles
-
@Napalmburns Well, from what I've asked around at local game stores, on discussion boars, etc. The NES-2 SHOULD work on my TV. And if you're on about the cartridge being PAL, it's actually an NTSC cartidge.
-
@TrueDarkNesa From what ive read these wont work on pal systems

@pepsiru1es92 My NES-2 has come, and I have one problem (or what I think is a problem).
When I put my NES cart into the console, it actually comes out easily... Compared to the first time I tried, when I had to wrestle with it. What is this meant to mean? Will it still play like this? Help.
I have a couple of questions:
-How did you get your NES 2 (NES-101) to work with the TV?
-And can this game play games from any country? Apparantley, it can.
Please reply ASAP!

@TrueDarkNesa
- I simply plugged it into the back where you would plug an antenna or cable service. It produces a signal viewable on north american analog channel 3.
-Well, it can out of the box play any 72-pin NES game. It doesn't have a 10NES chip, which locked old style NES systems to their region.

@pepsiru1es92 I've ordered one, but I'm in PAL region. :( Can you tell me the voltage settings or whatever for the NES-2, so I can get the necessary stuff for it to work on my TV? Thanks.

@TrueDarkNesa Well, your AC from the wall is probably 220 volts, The NES2 needs 110, so you'd need a Europe to America power voltage converter device. I'm not sure of the proper name. Also, the signal coming out of the NES is on NTSC channel 3, so you're going to need to find a way to have your PAL TV understand that. I'd say get an NTSC VCR, and use the Red, White, and Yellow outputs, if your TV can support AV at 60Hz. I think most newer European sets can.

Informative review. Good job, sir! At 2:22 you mention there being vertical lines on the screen, which I couldn't really make out. How noticeable are they?

@treismac I wouldn't say they take away from the experience, but they're pretty obvious.
