@itak365 In the film he says he's Rhodesian but he moved to South Africa and lived there for a while. he also joined the Military and fought in Angola. I dont know what a White Rhodesian accent sounds like because there's hardly any whites in Zimbabwe and most Rhodesian whites are living overseas or in South Africa, but his accent is very good for an American, but it's not as refined. If you watch the part where he's talking to the South African Journalist you'll hear the difference.

@chubbest28 Yeah exactly! If you hear White South Africans/Africans talking to Black Africans who speak with such an accent that you can hardly understand them, they try put on an African accent. I dont know why really, but they just do
-
@Floafffy It's a mix of a bunch of local languages. They learn it so all the different tribes who speaks different languages can learn it and so they can all speak to each other instead of learning each others other languages...very bastardized

@PoooTeeWeet Excuse me, I meant slang. It's pidgin. Just like American English and British English are different, pidgin is broken English with African words and other words from other languages mixed in.
-
@Floafffy It's english lol.
