@fgybanez ZsaZsa Zaturnnah the movie was a musical too. I wonder why people keep saying this is the first filipino musical film.

I watched this last night and it was a pretty good movie considering its a local production. It has some pacing and editing issues and the choreography is passable at best, but the voice talents were pretty good. The ending also felt somewhat unreal, as though the main character merely invented a happy ending. I do like how they switch between four languages at different parts of the film (English, Ilocano, Tagalog, and Arabic.)

kahit nung mga 70s and 80s mahilig nang isingit ang kantahan at habulan sa beach ang mga comedy movies natin. Also, Bollywood dances are very similar to Mediterranean (Middle East) belly dancing. No one can say that the other culture is more original, or that this is not original. I think this has promise. Yun nga lang, if not for Spot.ph, I wouldn't have known about this movie. We should stop producing trash / horror to the nth power movies and focus (and appreciate) Cinemalaya films.

i thought this is "original filipino musical" , but seeing the trailer, it really looks more bollywood to me.. i mean, the choreography & some music they used..(maybe, the OFW story is very pinoy)..anyone who would see this, esp. people abroad, that's what they will think.. just kinda disappointing..but, yeah, i would need to see this film, there's some real talent in the cast.

@katherineharlowe I think they are not trying to imitate it, they just want to show it.
