Elvis was pretty sick of Vegas by this point, but he was always more relaxed and playful during those engagements. It also helped that this particular engagement was one show a night for two weeks -- weekends off...instead of two shows a night for a month solid. That would get old to me, too.

@CSTANCHIK Colonel Parker did what was best for Elvis but a lot of people are still under the false impression he only used him. A shame.

this was the end of elvis 7 year run at the las vegas hilton 7-69 to 12-76. he must have been relieved tobe finished with vegas but the story was that colonel parker had other plans iin signing elvis to play a new hilton in town.. colonel parker WASNT RIGHT . he just WASNT RIGHT. CSTANCHIK
