Nancy Pelosi's closing argument, invoking the historical significance of the moment, though not in full. As she remarks, we have the "inalienable right to our life, liberty and pursuit of happiness."
it is NOT "an American proposal that honors the traditions of our country." We are basically copying every other nation our founding fathers tried not to. READ "An Ageless Constitution" if you can get your hands on it. I read it and it explains SOOO much about our Founding fathers and what they wanted achieve. They have been rolling in their graves for about 100 years now.
I invoke my constitutional right to free high speed internet, free food, and free cars.
I swore an oath to defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic. It's under attack from within. I'm afraid I can not abide by the mandate to buy "approved" health insurance as I would be breaking my oath.
Dems can believe they're moral all they want, but if the country is bankrupt the country is bankrupt, no help from Bush and the crony capitalists. There was full employment and medical care in the Soviet Union too, didnt help much if people werent getting paid.
@FatmanFlump What do you get in return from this neo-Marxist? You lose your liberty, you get a $1.6 trillion debt increase in one year, and more government thus tyranny. Bush gave more moderate versions of above, only he increased our security whereas Obama has predestined defeat in Afghanistan.
The republicans are phonies the democrats are neo-Marxists with union cronies.
Every time I see a democrat (liberal?!) that not only supports this thing, but does so with great enthusiasm, my mind boggles. Liberals and conservatives should both be against this fucking thing - it's corporate welfare, and nobody wins except health care providers. It's not reform at all; it's just putting more money into the root causes of American health care being so expensive (namely over-dependence on insurance and lack of bargaining power by those insurance companies).

Pelosi cant even get the Declaration of Independence right because she knows she is twisting it for her own agenda.

Look at it this way, with Obama at least the people gets something in return. What did you get with a republican president?
FatmanFlump 1 year ago
@FatmanFlump You think I don't know that? Bush was a fiscal socialist, I understand that. Obama and these neo-Marxists are 1,000 times worse.

The biggest expansion of federal government in modern history took place under George Bush. Stop believing lies and think for yourself.
