it's been thoroughly gratifying watching the progress on the Bate's house ,they deserve it wholeheartedly ,they need their own T.V show ,they are so inspirational and enjoyable to watch ,they are all angelic and pure looking .

@Revelation7912 The Duggars had already started building their house 2 years before their first television show. I believe they started to build it when they had 11 children, they were making an effort to better their living situation. However, the Bates weren't doing anything to better theirs, If the Duggars hadn't of paid for most of the addition they would probably still be cramped in that house with only 2 bathrooms. I'm willing to bet they also would of kept on having kids.

@richslaters he's not saying that people have to believe in God in order help each other and share. That wasn't what he said at all and you took it out of context. He's simply pointing out that in the Bible, God commands people to share and help each other, and more people in the world, Christian and otherwise, have a good example in how well these people helped each other here. Even if the Bates/Duggers weren't Christian, it still would be a good example.

For some reason I always thought Zach Bates and the eldest Bates daughter (Mekilah, I think) were married because she was sitting by him with a baby in her arms!

@Sarah99ification The Duggars lived in a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house (a small one) with 14 children for years while they saved up enough money for the house they have now. The Bates were in the same boat, but the crew just came in and helped them out instead of waiting to save up the rest like the Duggars did. Doesn't matter if kids sleep in the attic, they're fed, housed, and there is TONS of love. That means more than big bedrooms.
