  • Thanks for a little back story on the song and Def Jam at the time guys. Damn 2:56-3:04 my version: MCA so smooth with the rhyme. lordy!!!!!!!!!!

  • Best white rappers FUCK Eminem

  • @pecker9380 Agreed, Beastie Groove was definitely the best lyrics the Beastie Boys spit on wax. It was Rick Rubin cutting on this track, hence the "DJ Double R" lead in to the bridge. As to the label, Def Jam released its first 7 singles as an independent label, then became a subsidiary of Columbia Records. Through the early 90's, Def Jam was still the definitive rap label. The commercialization of rap (read: marketing to white suburbanites) became near universal for all labels by the mid-90s.
