This is another Smallville "Clark time" test, but theres no displacement, glows, or distortion. Just a rough cut particle test with a tracked shot.

This was one of several methods ive been trying to mimic the smallville effect, however I think I need to take a different approach. More to come later.

  • Id Have To Say, This Is By Far The Best Ive Seen On Youtube So Far....Links?

    DETAILED TUTORIAL PLEASE!!!

  • @TeddyCuhzSoSTL There are no links, as this was something I did myself. A tutorial would take some time to put together. Theres a lot of roto work in this.

  • Dude You Are The MAN!!! how did you do that please help, I only have after effects CS3

  • Theres quit a lot involved. Even for this simple particle trail. (tracking, roto, particular, and some minor expression correction for the tracking data.)

If you have particular, then you can do this. You dont need to track anything. Thats only for a moving camera shot like I have here.

  • Wow thats a great effect!

  • Thanks! :)

  • "I'm a freakin' blur over here!"

Totally reminds me of the TF2 scout on the Cola

  • This would be a perfect slowdown effect for the superspeed effect on Heroes.

  • Yeah, ive seen your tutorial vids using the echo and particular. Both ways can produce nice results.
