well i'm stoked that you are fan :) I also prefer finger picking, i rarely use my pick but i think i would probably chew my nails off if i even attempted to let them grow lol. i am really looking forward to getting my own set up, hopefully it will happen sooner rather than later. thanks again :)

Well, I'm definitely a fan. I think your music is real. I'm not talking about growing your nails way out, by the way; mine are just out a teeny bit; just enough to fingerpick. I love fingerpicking; I don't even own a flatpick! Once you do get on your setup, Wavepad can be downloaded for free. Once the free trial expires, you lose some functions, but retain enought to do the compression and EQ.

And you can record with some pretty cheap equipment and still do better than the camera mic!

I can't grow my nails out due to um, personal reasons that would strongly effect my love life, lol.

and i appreciate your tips a lot but i've got zero funds at the moment and i don't even record on my own computer so my time is also really really limited. hopefully i'll have my own set up soon enough and then i will for sure take your advice, thanks :)

Forget finger picks, just grow your nails a bit.

I've got another hint for you: the mic on your camera isn't so good. Neither is mine. I simultaneously record my sound on an eight track cassette recorder, and then sync it up with the camera footage.

I use Wavepad to tweak the sound.

If you look at my vids chronologically, everything before "Going to California" was done with just the camera mic.

You will hear a big sound improvement after that.

Your material is good enough to warrant it.
