Old School, Small Town Street Chick Skateboarding- circa 1990

This is a video I did when I was 17 years old- almost 20 years ago now! Hard to believe, I know, but I never was "normal"- especially being a punk rock chick skateboarder back in the day in small town nowhere.
At the end of this video is a look at my room when I was 17. The snowboard is a Burton twintip, old for even 1990- that is why I said it is the rock board- the board to bust out with if you don't care about getting it gouged by rocks. It eventually met its demise in a burning sacrifice to the snow gods on the side of Skyline Mt. across from Stevens Pass Ski Area. The "snowboard boots" are Sorel boots with ski boot liners in them, held together with duck tape.

hell yeah, thats whats up. I'm forty and still skate, I just can't stop.lol. I'm goin to the park in a little while to foot plant some rails, 80's style. Glad to here you still get on the board. much respect and i love the vid.

Those no-complies to tail were bad-ass, nice stuff! I miss those wide old boards, you couldn't flip them around like the new ones, but they were a lot more forgiving when landing tricks.

where was i? where were you? how come i couldnt find you back in the day -- i wanted nothing more than to meet up with a cutie who rode... but i wouldve had more luck searching for the holy grail... we could have broke of a little something in that room.. like in cribs... this is where the magic happens....

@realhatchethead Occasionally. I'm pretty old now, between skating and snowboarding I am just lucky to be walking still. Mainly longboarding with the dog and I try to skate every concrete park I run across. I love the new age of the skatepark, and hope they build two in every town!
