Its always smart to learn drums on a single kick set up first ...I think personally, then after you got down the at least basics with single pedal. Then start messin w the doubles.I think learning single gives you a foundation to work off?If you just start w doubles it could be a lot to take in for a beginner? But hell ..what do I know.Smash the skins!!!!!

Hey doug, for this lesson, would there be any way to do this without two bass drums? I wish I could cause it sounds pretty kool. ty :)

Absolutely! Instead of playing RH LH RF LF, try playing RH LH RF RF. You'll have to start REAL slowly and work the tempo up. Plenty of guys do this. John Bonham had a right foot that probably could have done all 4 of those 16th's that quickly. (Check out "Good Times Bad Times" by Led Zeppelin.

Thanks. I tried that but started a little too fast. I'll try doing RH LH RF RF.

You may also want to look up some videos on heel-toe technique or bass drum "doubles." That'll get you going much faster.

I very rarely (actually never) respond to these types of comments, but I can't resist. So, actually it's called "muffling." And Metallica has 2 L's. Hopefully my more recent videos sound better to you since I changed my mic setup. Thanks for your constructive input.
