@UtzChips2009 Bracing flute neck, herringbone inlay, They are to different guitars, HD has big Sound Vintage sound from the Scalloped bracing. D 28 has big sound, but only gets the aged vintage sound, with time and age.
The biggest thing is the sound. The HD-28 is much louder and has a deeper bass. Then read the description, there are a couple of cosmetic differences but it is the SOUND. I just ordered my HD-28 from Jon at My Favorite Guitars. 40% off Martins List Price and Great Service.
I see very little difference in the specs (at Martin website) between the HD-28 and the D-28, yet the D-28 MSRP is $2999.00 & the HD-28 is $3449.00. So what am I getting for the extra $500.00?
