  • @jezmundberserker what, are apart of olbermann's cheer leading squad? Don't get all butt-hurt because olbermanns got called out for what he is: a piece of crap commentator pretending to be a journalist.

  • Olbermann's argument doesn't work. See, the examples he is sighting involve reporters reporting facts; however, Olbermann uses rhetoric to slant the facts--or stretch the truth--thereby breaking neutrality, and directing the audience in a certain direction.

For him to respond, shows his defensiveness, but the most ironic part of this "special comment" is that he defends himself using rhetoric, exactly what Koppel was alleging in his Op-ed. Olbermann is no journalist; he is a commentator.

  • Ridiculous. The only reason people tune in (or tuned in) to Olbermann's ranting was because of his style -- the monotony of his heavy voice, stern expression, glasses, and endless prattling on

  • Olbie just hates everything Conservative...Kind of hard to see the truth with your head stuffed so far up your own ass...

  • All that one sees in the media concerning non-Caucasians blaming "whites" for all the world's ills go straight back to when foreign-born Koppel did his Nightline show. Whether it's those back-stabbers on "The View" or Dewayne Wickham using his USAToday column to hate on Caucasians, ... it ALL traces back to Koppel's fear and obscene pandering to blacks!

Koppel masked his evil by speaking positively about Caucasians only in generic terms while butchering Caucasians via couching lies & halftruths

  • Where Keith gets it wrong is the fact that when reporters like Cronkite and Murrow opined it was as rare as snow in the summer. Most of the time they simply reported the news.

They didn't flood their newscasts with pundits and so called experts.

They didn't have shows like Olberman or "O'Reilly" where they played to the viewers of a certain philosophy, THEY REPORTED THE FACTS.

Of course, back then people could handle these facts.

  • Koppel was right. And Olby is gone. :)

  • @SocialismNow81 He sounds like Sean Hannity to me.

  • Notice how many times he uses the words "fair and balanced." Is he not a tool?

  • Olberman is a tool for the Democrats.

  • Lastly, the people commenting here did not hear this out. KO doesn't personally attack Koppel, but rather his thesis. Keith is branded an ultraliberal because he called out the bullshit EVERYONE in the US MSM swallowed whole about Iraq, and the corruption inside the US justice dept. Reality Check: This journalism is now accepted as fact, and KO is now famous for it. And infamous. For just asking the question: Is this bullshit actually bullshit? This is why FNC doesn't exist outside the US.

  • Next, KO trashes democrats frequently. For being weak or supporting stupid ideas the GOP fed them. You can't say he carries water for the DNC unless he blindly does so. During primaries he tore Hilary apart for racism. During health care reform he called every Dem out , Obama included, for taking millions from the insurers. He obviously supports a philosophy, but not a political party. Hannity defends Bush like he saved the world, yet added billions to socialized medicine to buy votes.
