I've been looking for a swedish elkhound everywhere none to be found in the US do you have any info as to where I could get one. that is a beuatiful animal.

@yoshiteko If you want to inport one I do know a breeder. The breeders my parents bought their dog from. But I think it will be difficult doing it. But if you want, I will give you the adress. :)

isent that a "jämthund"? and there English name is Swedish elkhound?shouldn't thy at least be called Swedish moosehound. or why not direct translation "alwayshound" or "nexttohound" =) or is it really a gråhund?

Apparently all these people think wild boars are like that little piglet Wilbur from Charlotte's Web. Probably have no idea what kind of damage a boar can do to crops, livestock, domestic animals or people.
