I sang with Tony Amato, the lead here, many times in front of Viking Lanes when I was 15. It was just the three of us, my brother Pete did 1st tenor, and if I do say so myself, we sounded amazing. Some of the best doo-wop was done in mid-tempo 6/8, and this is one of the better examples. Love it!

The Chaperones Tony Amato (lead), Roy Marchesano (1st tenor), Tommy Ronca (second tenor), Nick Salvato (baritone) and Richard Messina (bass). It was recorded in May 1959 but not released until the summer of 1960.
