Please read the info below, it will give you some background re the production.

It maybe a bit lengthy for a YouTube film. It initially ran for almost 20 minutes, but I have managed to edit it a little bit. I do hope it holds your attention, and that you will view it to its conclusion. I also hope it entertains you.

This is a spoof, based on the very well known film ''Forrest Gump'' staring Tom Hanks. I've tried to do an impression of Forrest the best I could. I had a bit of a shock though. I knew I could say a few phrases like him, for example: 'Life is like a box of chocolates' etc.. but I didn't realise it would so difficult to keep the voice going, to keep it fluent. What I mean is; it is hard to say words in his character that haven't been used in the Forrest Gump movie.

I first thought about doing this in 2009, but never got round to it until last year, the fall of 2010. I shot all the scenes that year, apart from one scene where I'm pointing down at the lady's shoes which I filmed a few weeks back. If you look very closely you will notice more autumn leaves behind the bench scene in that shot.

This video should have been completed early this year, but my illness got in the way. I found producing this very difficult. I suppose it was a bit too ambitious a project, but here it is finished.

Unfortunately, I provide ALL the voices you hear, including the lady on the bench! This all came about because we thought; what were the chances of Forrest Gump sitting down on a UK park bench, having (my wife) an american lady sit next to him. Well, Jayne did try to talk in an english voice, but she drifted in and out...so we decided to go with her real voice only to discover (and I'm not saying I can either) she can't act! I think the real problem for her, was the timing and the time element...she just couldn't fit all the dialogue quickly enough in the gaps for her scene. So desperation set in. Would I ever be able to finish this film? Three of our females friends tried playing the part, but it resulted with the same problems. We even tried our lodger, Ebony! So a decision had to be made. I had to do it! I could certainly say the lines fast enough, but in doing so, the acting was compromised. Oh well!

Jayne is a bit worried now, because, I found it so easy to sound a bit like a female! Lol :) Insight: I managed to do the voice by using a few tricks of the trade; recording my voice at a slower speed...then speeding it up. Anyway, I'm disappointed that I had to perform the female parts. It would have worked far better ... have been more natural, with a real lady's voice. Now, by using my female impersonation, it has a slight UK Monty Python feel to it. Anyway, after all, this is supposed to be a light comedy...I hope! Only you can decide!

I had to change the intro music, so to avoid copyright issues...I still might not get away with any of it... thru this copyright thing...even using the Forrest Gump character may be a problem...the whole thing may be pulled. I wouldn't like that very much...you can't imagine the amount of work I have put into this. Well, watch it while you can...and I hope you find it pleasurable viewing. If you like it, and think it worthy of a share, then do share it with your friends. I would appreciate it very much. It was a nightmare to produce... a tremendous amount of time and work went into it...it needs to be seen. Oh, by the way, this upload is gonna take up to 10 hours to complete!!!! Cor blimey! :(

Many, many thanks

James
