2008 Red Arrows spraying over NY Harbor

The British Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, flew over the New York Harbor today. I was able to catch the spectacle from the shores of South Beach on Staten Island.

It's the UK colours! It's a UK display team, they always spray red white and blue, see how that works? Doh!

Britain shamed itself in WW2 by begging America to save it. That is primarily why Britain lost its empire. You can't really force people to be in your colonies if you can't even protect yourself and must beg another power to save you from a superior enemy.
