Id Lie {A Taylor Story} Chapter 8

I am sorry for not posting much Ive been busy with work and friend and now I need to quickly do some summer work so this might be it for a month and Im sorry I appreciate all you readers and I hope you enjoy! xOxO Lauren

It was Friday which meant very little class work and no homework. So naturally all my focus was on the trip. I was surprised my parents let me go but they trusted me. When lunch time came around I grabbed Abigail and had her sit with me and Hailey. Of course Corey, Tommy, and Kyle where at the table as well. All anyone could talk about was tonight and tomorrow. I had been packed since I found out that’s how excited I was. I asked Abi if she wanted to come but she said she had already made plans. Corey didn’t talk to me, Kyle did, and Tommy seemed friendlier today and he talked to me too. Corey had no right to be mad at me and yet he was. I swear I don’t understand that boys mind one bit! When lunch was over I went to my class then got home as quick as possible. I still had to ride in Corey’s truck which will be a blast. I heard the horn and rushed outside with my bag and into Corey’s truck but Corey wasn’t driving. Tommy was driving with Claire in passenger seat and Hailey in the back. I took my seat next to Hailey and gave Claire a hug from behind. After we finished catching up I asked where Corey was. Tommy said that he wanted to ride with some other people and that Kyle would take his place. Great so Corey was avoiding me at every cost how fabulous. When we got to the camp grounds near the beach everyone was super excited. The guys started setting up the tents and the girls got the campfire set up. When all was set people began to sit around the fire. I was sitting in between Claire and Hailey until Claire got up. Then Tommy took her seat. He wasn’t mad at me so we were just talking and laughing. By the end of the night Tommy and I were walking around woods talking. We ended up sitting down next to each other on two rocks.
“So things didn’t work with you and Kyle?” Tommy asked and I could tell he had been trying to ask me about it all night.
“No we are better as friends.” I answered trying to sound interested even though I wasn’t.
“That’s cool. So then who do you like then?” He asked and I could tell there was more behind the question.
“I don’t know besides I can’t tell you! You’re a guy!” I said with a playful shove.
“Well what would you do if I said that I like you?” He asked shyly.
“Really?” I asked in surprise and flattery.
“Uh Hu.” He said back looking down at the ground.
“So what are you gunna do about it?” I asked flirtatiously.
“Ask you to be my girlfriend?” He said gaining some confidence.
“Well then I guess I’d have to say yes.” I said back with a smile. I know that I liked Corey but Tommy is sweet and funny and nice and really cute too. If Corey doesn’t like me then I might as well be happy with Tommy.
“Really?” He asked with a smile.
“Yes really!” I said back and he jumped up and hugged me. He kissed my cheek and I smiled.
“Its getting late lets head back to the tents.” I said as I grabbed his hand. He agreed and walked back. He sat down in a chair and pulled me on top of his lap. I laughed as I fell onto him. Corey looked over at us and looked shocked and even angrier. He ran off into the woods. I decided I needed to save this friendship and figure out what was wrong with him.
