Vermont Governor Speaks About Secession...

NECN network recently interviewed Vermont governor Jim Douglas (R) about the state of Vermont seceding from the U.S. Empire and becoming an independent republic once again. A recent UVM Center for Rural Studies poll indicates that 13% of Vermonters favor this idea.

You have not been paying attention. He is stating it to simply. The US is moving towards a form of government that will ultimately start to kill it's citizens that want economic freedom, sound money and human rights. Be prepared, be informed and buy a gun. The economy is on a collision course and our government is worsening our situation at the same time they are eroding our rights.

was the idea of the 13 colonies seperating from the most powerful nation silly in the 18th century? please tell me this huge advantage of paying 56% of my income annually to a corrupt, corporate fascist govt that. what do we get as an avg american paying 56% of our money to this gov't. this 56% does not even include corporate taxes that corporations simply pass along to us. neither does it include the raping of our savings every time the fed reserve prints more money devaluing my money.

@Ridgid Great, Im a descendant of Vermonts founding fathers , as well as the Abenaki Nation (the original VTers) on top of the settlers of Waitsfield, Waits River and Bradford VT (all these towns are in some way named for these ancestors) . Im not saying it wouldnt take time to build it , but we could have a stable economy if we tried .. it takes faith my brother.

We never gave allegiance to the US .. not to mention the blood of Ethan Allen himself runs in my veins so let me tell you .. we will secede peacefully and when we do, when we fire not one shot .. what idealogy will you go with then. what excuse to come and kill us will you have if we just say "we arent a part of your country anymore now leave us alone" but dont do anything violent, What then?

A patriot is someone who loves his/her country and wants what is best for his/her countrymen. A patriot is not someone who is beholden to a tyrannical govt or it's officials. When America started she had over 300,000 Americans, now we have over 308 million, The founding fathers knew that when the people have too little power over a central govt that the states would secede so that the government would better reflect the will of the people.

The people in the states don't realize the potential power we all can wield with secession a God given gift. Walk away and all those federal funds dry up pretty quick. They'll be crawling back to us. the ultimate in quick fixes.
