  • I agree about it being the best shady grove I've ever heard, and I've heard lots of people do it. Is he still alive?

  • Lee is very much alive, and participates in local bands, festivals, and hosts field trips sponsored by the Cowan Creek Music School in Whitesburg, KY.

  • @oldhairyguy Man, that's cool! Lee's how old now? I've wanted to meet him, I've learned a lot of of tunes from his playing, and I've wanted to ask him about working in the mines. Also, Morgan, many people said he couldn't sing, but I learned one tune from him, London City Where I Did Dwell, and he also worked in the caol mines of Eastern KY, and I guess he had to quit school early to help his Dad in the depression years.
