This perfectly captures how young some people once were back in '69-'70, they look like the young couples you see today, if you captured this pair in a time machine and brought them into the present they'd fit right in. Hard to believe these people are now in their 70's and we are looking at a time capsule from 42 years ago. We've only just begun...Oh the irony
Those two adorable kids are now in their mid to late 40's and Dad died 10 years ago leaving Mom to rattle around in that empty house before her stroke and move into assisted living.
As a former Mad Man I admired Hal Riney. Hal understood human beings and their emotions. He understood what makes people tick. This can be seen in the Crocker Bank commercials as he showed how a bank could help a young couple in life's journey.
@darrinbaker00 No, it's not them, but it's in the same style. Paul Williams sang the first two Crocker Bank commercials. I wonder if this was after the Carpenters' version came out (probably), so they tried to make it sound like them. It looks later, since the ending logo is different.

Of course, years later Crocker Bank would be swallowed up by Wells Fargo, who also would swallow up First Interstate Bank.
