  • The July 15 2011 Watchtower's claim that 'apostates' are "mentally diseased", and JWs' general despicable attitude toward former members has rightly sparked concern about other articles such as this. However, the 15 Nov. article *does not* refer to JWs slaughtering anyone. The paragraph about 'slaughtering' is quoting an unnamed 'scholar', and is not in reference to any modern individuals. The article also says "Today, no servant of Jehovah uses physical force against opponents of pure worship"

  • @repryuwt Need to learn a tad about power of suggestion, manipulation of information, logical fallacies and propaganda. Then get back to me on this.

  • @Danmera danmera YOU are suggesting that JW would do this :

    in fact you know the right explanation but you suggest the wrong interpretation because you want them in a bad light.

    you know the witnesses have no attitude towards disfellowshipped person than wanting them to repent and come back

  • @afterraincomessun Yes I am sure witnesses do want that. However the Watchtower teaches something else. They are not really into helping DF ones back, they are into punishing them, hurting them, breaking them down. They don't care if they come back, in their eyes those who leave are ruined because many can now see the truth of the "truth" That's why the shunning takes place, it's NOT out of love. The society wants us dead, we know the truth. This is not about you, it's THEM,

  • Yayayayahhh ! >=-()

  • @jwFairyTale I think its a good idea.

  • Did a quick search on "The Manson Family". This is interesting:

    Attorney Vincent Bugliosi was successful in convicting Charles Manson >"guilty of conspiracy to commit the Tate/LaBianca murders carried out by members of the group at his instruction. He was convicted of the murders through the joint-responsibility rule, which makes each member of a conspiracy guilty of crimes his fellow conspirators commit in furtherance of the conspiracy's object."

  • @Danmera Thanks for the condescension. Am quite aware of these concepts; indeed, elsewhere, I have commented that the JW readership *may* make the connection with their pejorative use of the term 'apostate'. However, the article does not *say* anything about slaughtering former members, and it *does* explicitly say quite the opposite.

  • Who's Jay? - Jay Who? :-}

  • If they will allow their own to die because of what the WTBTS says (i.e. no blood transfusions) I would not put it past any member of the JWs to take it literally.

  • Its commonly known the WT legal department approves many WTS articles before they go out; I'm surprised they let this one hit the printing presses

    Some higher up lawyer is soon to put A,B,C, together on JWs committing murder because of what they are taught by their religious rulers:

    Family Murders and Tortures by Jehovah's Witnesses

    watchtowernews . org/familymurders . htm

    I'm thinking of a higher up lawyer like the crown prosecutor who put Charles Manson in prison = attorney Vincent Bugliosi

  • was smart to talk to sheriff.
