I believe that utilitarian and money savvy people (like me) believe that the thinkpad is a better buy. However, people who would rather make a fashion statement would go for the air even though it lacks a few features.

@kalosanin I know, x300 (x301 now) looks sick! I would totally buy it just for its look too. It looks so masculine and screams professionalism while MB Air screams Apple fanboy going to gay art school.
