  • (read other on 1st) That all means that in theory you can play a set with just one DNS1200, maybe use the sampler on the DDM4000 to make the transition smoother, Its a neat trick, which I haven't attempted live yet! Also if you join the 2 units together with THE CORRECT RJ45 (ethernet) cable, unit 1 can play anything from the USB port of unit 2. So many possibilities so little time. Always keep the firmware up to date as well, cos new functions get added, like hybrid time code play. Enjoy!

  • @DoctorBastardo Damn, this trick could make my dj life so much easier! I knew about the 'next track' and use it love sometimes if I don't have enough time,

but I didn't know you could play from usb on player one from the USB stick on player 2, I NEED TO HAVE THAT CABLE!!

    thanks for the tip! :D

  • @DoctorBastardo i've bought an RJ45 cable, and it does link up the 2denons, but it doesn't let me play a file from usb stick in player B on player A

  • Exactly my rig! I just added a DNSC2000 cos I love the Denons and Behringers functions so much I dont wanna waste em on midi control , even though they all do it very well. (Forced to use Digi deejaying as all promos are sent that way now). Sweet little mix bro, I use the echo loop function a lot. Do you ever use the playing 2 tracks from one CD trick the that DNS1200s can do? PS whats the track that starts at 12.21

  • @DoctorBastardo

I don't now the trick, can you explain it to me?

and the track is called 'black is black' But I can't remember the artist, i'll try to find it

  • @superbuny007 i think the 6th track is a bassjackers song or at least their remix

  • Hi Superbunny007, The DNS1200s are capable of reading and playing 2 tracks from the same media (CD,USB,MP3CD etc) The tracks cannot be played together however you can choose another track from same media whilst one is playing, the when you play the new track they will fade into each other for (i think) 10seconds or so. Its all done with the parameters dial. You'll have to check the manual for exact instructions, theres a PDF version on the DNS1200 disc as well.

  • @Friizky

wait let me restart; cuz my last post isn't very clear

you put your dn-s1200's into midi mode

on ur pc: open "Denon DJ ASIO driver"

    check the two denon's

    go to traktor/other DJ program

set your mixer type to "external"

    configure ur outputs

& now the sound from deck 1 on ur Pc goes out the output of ur first denon & the sound of deck 2 on ur pc goes out the output of ur second denon

ps: see to it that both denons are on a different midi channel (internal setting of the dn-s)

  • @superbuny007 how do i put it into midi mode? i got the denon dnx120

  • its great seeing someone use the same setup as me. good intro.
