'Black Rose' was performed at Thin Lizzy's final UK show, which was the famous Reading Festival in 1983. This track doesn't appear on the BBC disc and was one of the few times it was performed in whole after 1979. This might be the only time it was performed without assistance from Gary Moore. John Sykes does a pretty decent job and should be given credit...Snowy didn't even bother attempt it when Lizzy played it live in the early 80's, and the band would play a drum solo after the verses instead.

It would of been Phil's 60th birthday tomorrow (or today depending on where you are in the world). The 26th anniversary of this concert is also coming up, so I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone and post this to mark the occasions. I have also uploaded the entire AUD recording to TheTradersDen, if anyone wants to download it.

Enjoy!
