Looks like a pretty exciting camera. I can't wait till mine comes in, so I can try it out the window or off the platform of a moving train.... As of 11/27, the local camera shop can't keep them in stock at this point - they are sold before they even arrive.

Is the bottom part an extra detachable battery pack? Or is it there all the time?

I'll get one asap ! The K10D is a more than nice upgrade to my *istDL... can't wait for the DA*16-50mm f2,8 as well... Pentax is back !
