doing a cc503 install in my car right now...crossing my fingers that i won't spin a rod bearing =/

my car has 148k on it but oil pressure is good and everything was super clean when i took it apart....so i'm HOPING i'll be fine...

@cliffabrown If you take your rods apart, you're better off just buying new rods or just redoing the entire motor completely since it is out of the car anyways. I made the mistake and reused my stock rods and bolts and I ended up spinning 2 rods cause the rods bolts stretched and stripped.

@whitethunderz28 How high where you taking the engine when you spun your rod bearings, and how many miles where on it at the time. The stock rods are fine, you just need some arp rod bolts.

@whitethunderz28 i dont trust myself to build the bottom end of the motor. i'm just doing valvetrain upgrades and a cam swap.

@RandomHero0637 wow. Man i'm all about the f body's they can be so much faster than the new one with less. My cousin has a 95 z before he rebuilt it over the winter he would pull 05 style gt mustangs, lol with 80,000 on it and warped headers. shows ya the previous Joe ran the hell out of it. 4speed auto.
