Frontal Lobotomy (parody of "Weed & Wine") Gary Hall LIVE in '85

"Frontal Lobotomy" is my parody of the late John Bassette's song "Weed and Wine". I play this song in a comping-with-fingerpicks style which I learned from John. Both of us severely gouged up the tops of our Martin guitars with this playing style (my Martin's top damage is very evident in this vid), but that's been a small price to pay for all the good stuff I learned from John. Whenever he'd get rousing applause for a "cheap and effective" song like this one, he'd respond with the cheerful sarcasm of "thank you music lovers!" Over the years, I've often heard myself utter that same phrase when some goofball song garners an especially good response. Its always a fond reminder of the good times with John.
