Ambient 3 / Day of Radiance (1980) is an album by the American ambient musician Laraaji (alias Edward Larry Gordon) which was produced by Brian Eno.
This album is the third edition of Eno's Ambient series, which began in 1978 with Music for Airports, and was followed by The Plateaux of Mirror. The series ended with On Land.
Compared to the rest of the series, Day of Radiance features very little in the way of electronics. Laraaji uses a variety of acoustic stringed instruments such as a hammered dulcimer and 36-stringed open-tuned zither.

this was always the lost ambient album for me. i heard it once around 1982. thanks for posting this. first i've heard it in almost 30 years.

@LighterOfDewbies There was a series of four albums Brian Eno released from 1978-1982 in the "Ambient" sequence. 1 & 4 are Eno solo, 2 is Eno with Harold Budd, and this is a track for 3, which is a Laraaji album produced by Eno.
Check them all out, each one is excellent.

One of my favorite albums, the only one of the Ambient series I still listen to. I always liked the way the tunes are programmed to get slower and slower. Listening to the last cuts is like being on the edge of sleep with consciousness slipping in and out.
