This is a quick capture test of Stage 3A, as well as a short demonstration of the chaining route and boss kill.
The boss kill in particular is a tricky one to do. There are two acknowledged methods to kill AKA-O, one is the more regularly practiced "two-hypersword" kill seen in many replays, and the other is the rarer and tougher to do, but much quicker "one-hypersword" kill, demonstrated here.
The trick is to use Spread at close-range to quickly destroy the top-left piece, then hypersword and move to the right to destroy the cannon and top-right piece with the blades. As you move over to the right, start moving down to line up with the middle of AKA-O, so that when the boss starts to flip over, the hypersword scissors the two remaining pieces and the main core for a 100% destruction. It can be tricky to do this method, however, as you can just as easily mistime or misstep, ending up with a 50% destruction ratio instead.
Haven't played Silvergun since 2001, so I'm very rusty at the moment, but can remember most of the chaining routes through the game. I don't expect to invest serious time in this just yet, nor do I expect to get up to speed with my old scoring strategies, as Silvergun is a difficult, time-intensive game.
I never thought about going for the secret chain. So the secret chain increases by 10,000 for every successive chain of yellow afterwards?

@ZacharyB Correct, up to the max value of 100k. For some stages it's the only chain available that'll provide a lot of points (eg. 3D, 4D, 2B). For other stages it's a handy way to boost pointgain with other color chains (eg. 3A, 2A, 2C).
