Impressive, like sumo wrestling but they start holding secure belts. Im not sure if i condsider this a martial art more like a martial art inspired game. But it looks like a game too brutal for me to play ill stick to my martial arts. I say because i think all that balance manipulation and throwing on the ground looks dangerious. Ive seen people break there arms when the instinct to catch yourself kicks in. Some martial arts practice trying not to catch your self with your arms. This should to.

nono theres plenty of other throws locks etc etc. I think this style is much more realistic and rational than a lot of the asian styles. Powerful, straightforward techniques that works in all conditions. I think its great that the word of Glima is spreading. Ive seen too many movies and heard to many stupid comments about how vikings /scaninavians didnt have any technique and blablabla as in contrast to the asian arts that are elevated to the skies. Look at this and the UFC-this actually works.

This is awesome. I can totally imagine this would eb close to ancient Norse and Celtic wrestling forms. They really seem to be only engaging in one type of throw. Is all glima like this?
