the guy running behind me said that maybe the English goalkeeper from the World Cup (Robert Green) should take notes on how to execute the technique. It was kind of funny because I've never seen that man in my life and he was just there to run around the track.

And please in the first video of crosses I told about a weakness and a problem how to mentally and physically handle with it, please if you can read and tell me some advises or make a video about it because it's a really hard situation to handle with it..

What if the ball is coming at a somewhat fast speed but in the middle do i bend down with both knees?

@FallenAngelH3
No you still want to keep the same technique, the question is which foot do you lead with? If the ball is coming down the middle, you let your instincts take over and you will almost always choose to step with your dominant foot. So if you right footed, you will naturally lead with your right foot, and vice versa if you're left footed. You will still bend with both knees however, just make sure that the knees aren't on the ground when you recieve the ball.

@stlouisgoalkeeping can you use this technique no matter the power of the shot??

@dearing5
yeah, you should be able to, unless the shot comes from really close range.

I notice that in your set, you move your feet slightly further apart right as the ball is hit; would it be better to just start with your feet slightly further apart as your original set?

good observation and good question. The reason we don't want to start with the feet further apart in the original set is that if the feet go wider than the hips and shoulders, we are not in optimal balance. Once the feet get wider than our hips and shoulders, we begin to lose balance and explosive power, as well as start the process of shifting our weight from the balls of the feet onto the heels, which isn't good. If we are already moving forward, then it's a different issue
