yep the hero loves India & Indian culture but HAS to fall in love with a totally western girl, who is Indian BTW, but has no respect for her culture - doesn't try to learn anything about it. Back home there is a homely Indian girl who loves this guy - but who cares? It's western, white skin that's what matters
