i agree that ice hockey is more physical and you move faster that dosnt mean its better in field hockey your work rate is much higher and more range of skills :')

2. by not wearing any equipment when playing hockey is a suicide pact, because ONE, u travel MUCH faster on ice hockey than in field hockey, TWO unlike field hockey, ice hockey is a FULL contact sport, THREE when you shoot the ball you are not often expected to block them, in ice hockey you are expected to sacrifice your body to block shots....

WELL,i guess field hockey has its challenges too, the stick is so short u have to run like a hunch back, that could be annoyin

@Dreidel13 ok, i don't mean this to offend you, but what you say is definetly wrong.

1. I agree field hockey balls are harder, but they are shot at such low speeds as compared in ice hockey, an ice hockey puck is shot at around 80mph on average and the record speeds are 106.1 mph whilst field hockey balls are shot at a moderate speed of around 30mph (being VERY optimistic about that)

The be all and end all argument is that morons think sport is better if there is violence. That's a loser's argument - you can get your violence anywhere, macho arsehole. Hockey (of course, field, idiot) is the truest of great games & sports because at its best - no one touches any one else (you faggot in the closet) - it depends purely on skill, coordination, speed and more than anything, INTELLIGENCE. So, 1st consideration Ice v Field : for ape like animals, or for advanced human beings!?
