The ideal island would be Bald Head Island. Only golf carts to get around there. I would say the most charming/secluded island is Sunset Beach NC

I visit Oak Island every weekend I can and I live in Raleigh! I come to surf and skimboard and just get crazy with the cougars @ Chaser's Beach Club ;)
