The Philippines forgotten war: Part 1 - 03 Aug 07

The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF)has been fighting the Philippines goverment in Mindanao, the eastern-most island of the country, for decades in a conflict born of ethnic, clan and religious complexity.

A four-year-old ceasefire has been in place, but is starting to quiver following July's ambush of the marines by Muslim fighters.

Veronica Pedrosa spent time with the Marines on Basilan Island and has this report.
