That's silly since there's the disadvantage of waiting for one extra person to jump, and one extra person who might slow the team down during the swim. I guess since they won it didn't matter.

In earlier seasons, the producers decided there would be no obvious advantage or disadvantage for the team size in some challenges. This is one of them.
