I want him so!!!!!

I was at the DC animal shelter and out of all the dogs He always catches my eye!!!! We applied to take him home with us because we are scared they may put him down. But looking at this face how can you not want to take him home. They call him Sam and he is only 11 months old. He is half lab and . . . . we don't want to say what the other is until we are for certain he has been adopted by either us or another loving family.

sorry for just getting to this comment I just saw it today :)

DC shelters care . . . at one time they wouldn't allow pitbulls to be adopted because of the bad rap they have . . . we have seen so many pitbulls registered to be put down just because of the breed or how they are raised to be fighting dogs . . . . it's changed over time and we now see pitbulls being adopoted because you can't blame a dog for his breed . . . so that's why I didn't mention his mix in the beginning

No another couple got him, which turned out to be a good thing, we were in the process of moving and we thought it would be best for him not to be in that situation . . . He was half Golden Retriever and Pit-bull . . . as you can see he had the face of the Retriever and the short stocky body of the Pit-bull. . . thanks for the comment!
