I did a series of tests with my Benjamin Trail NP XL 1100 (.22 cal) to see how far a variety of pellets penetrated into, and how much they expanded inside of a ballistics gel block. I fired each pellet from about 4 feet away through a chronograph to measure its velocity, and also measured the heads' diameters to see how much they expanded. Read the titles to see which specific test you're watching.

  • you should do this in clay then cut in half you can see the trail better and you can reuse it try it it works great :)

  • love your videos man i have a remington npss .22 and need a hard hitting, accurite pellet

  • This is similar to the results I had when blackpowder hunting using the roundball. There was poor terminal effect on deer and shot placement was critical to avoid loosing a wounded deer. It was absolutely critical to make contact with bone to get any kind of expansion. Thankyou again.
