22-130 km/h acceleration on to a highway. The new 2010 40KW engine with the semi auto transmission. The ramp is declining until about 100kmh.You probably can't use use this vid for comparrison, but i think it busts the reviews i've seen stating that this car takes forever to get on the highway.

  • How is your mileage this summer?

  • @Smart4two For whatever reason it has improved. I've added a link in the video description for my milage recordings.

  • how many rpm's at 120 km'h ?

  • About 2900 in 5th I guess: The noise isn't that bad - your mind will be occupied by continuously pointing the smart in the forward direction.

  • Hi did you already try to test the topspeed? smart says that the topspeed is limited to 135 km/h, but on the internet i see reviews with higher speeds on the GPS, without chiptuning of course.

  • Nope, I did not yet have the opportunity. I might test it once to settle my curiosity but I would never ever travel at topspeed because a) It drives so poorly on the highway. b) I get better milage in my bmw. z) it's illegal ;-)

  • @llandudnoboy That's true mine did 110mpg.

  • @Smart4two

I ve owned my Smart Cdi Passion since March 2010 and the best mileage so far here on a Uk 4.5Litre gallon is 89mpg.

Owners have complained about the cars poor economy but for the past two years Mic Linford has won the Esso Economy competition with both years achieving in excess of 94mpg.

Others have managed over 100mpg so driven very carefully this car can return serious miles per gallon figures.

  • @Budocato Yes that is right, 2950 rpm at 120 km/h in 5th. 100 km/h 2400rpm and 80 km/h is 1950.

  • @Budocato :) Totally right LOL. My former smart (450) drove much better on the highway. Now i have a 451 62kw and i have to keep my steer with two hands... ;(
