I was 14 when the movie version of HAIR came out - nothing had ever excited me quite so much. No one else in my age group was excited by HAIR, and the baby boomers were over it. Now I'm 46. I'm old, man. Real old. It doesn't excite me like it once did...but it brings a smile. And he's right. They're good.

@7252christian Gotta say at first, after hearing the revival first, the original cast sounded off.

But since my show is being based off of the original we listened to Hair on repeat, and it really, REALLY grows on you.

So I agree, listen to both for sure.

I am a baby boomer and I like this version. He has a great voice, but I would suggest that you listen to the original 60s album. Why?... Because the cast then... was the sixties. I do not know how to explain it, but.... just to say you have had to been of age in those days. It was like no time before or after. So when I listen to this and other songs of that era it puts me back into a time I felt I belonged. Stop comparing just enjoyed.
