Thanks for posting this. I understand the stability problems were one reason this technology was scrapped. It was unstable much like the lunar lander simulator Armstrong crashed. These days the technology exists to compute the correct amount of thrust and vector to keep it airborn under even extreme conditions. The ducting problem was another issue.
