Hey, how do you make that ... "trill" sound with your finger. It looks like your middle finger.

It's not easy to explain but not hard to do. Run your finger against the head almost perpenicular. The finger sticks and bounces along. It helps to have the finger slightly damp to make it stick but not too damp where it will slide. It also helps to hold the pandeiro loosely so it can vibrate. Good luck

Allen how did you learn pandeiro? In the midwest there aren't any teachers so video is our only option. Did you travel to Brazil?

My first lesson and first pandeiro was in Brasil. After that only a couple of pointers from other pandeiro players. I also learned from videos. To learn, just practice practice practice and you will develop your style.

This is a common roll used by orchestral tamborine players but they use their thumb when playing the roll.
