Let's Play: Evil Genius (P1) HD

I'm doing a narrated let's play for Evil Genius. Part 1. Full HD Quality. I performed a random roll on my walkthrough list and this is the game that it landed on.

This game is similar to Serf City and Theme Hospital. It has that sandbox RTS feel where you can design your "underground lair" in a way where you tend to only have to observe the goings on. That coupled with a pretty intricate world maps adds a lot of complexity. Perhaps a bit too much. It's a little hard to learn into this game. There are a lot of nifty things to potentially enjoy when you have learned the game however.

This is my first time playing this game. Some games aren't much of a fan of changing the resolution, especially when they were made before Vista 64bit was on the horizon. So I have some trouble but things work out for the most part. The basic input commands were beautifully intuitive though.

WAY too slow a game. Borderlands suffered from the same problem as this, in excluding something that all games (are supposed to have), namely the speeding up of time (and, in Borderland, fast travel or some form of 'teleportation').

Unless a game is lauded by many others as brilliant, why waste my time? Pah!
