@blablanono3 Your not understanding me. I'm not comparing the Aeros and the Moose at all. Both are in the AHL but the Moose being in Canada and having been in the NHL have a bigger fan base there. What I am saying is that Houston since 94 when we got the Aeros has been building a fan base. Houston now has 6 ice sheets, Houston has adult, pee wee, and novice leagues, and we even have a traveling adult that plays team in texas and Oklahoma city. We are growing to a hockey city.

@thebig1 8k? the moose (which is AHL not
NHL) averages around 12,000. pretty much every jets game as sold out here
-
@blablanono3 The Stars are doing great and Houston has the AHL's Aeros which have a very solid following here in Houston. We average just 8 K a game at Toyota Center.
-
@thebig1 TEXAS? HOCKEY? yeah right
-
@0o0StormShadow0o0 Houston deserves an NHL team but all we have is an AHL team to. Its not NHL but its the next best thing...just be glad you have a high level team at all.

Knock out a phew of the lower seat rows and extend the rink size to support NHL games.

Quebec isn't ever going to see another NHL franchise. They are too small and Le Colisee is just too old. A city of 150,000 doesn't deserve a professional hockey team. Winnipeg... well, I guess time will tell whether they get a franchise or not. But you certainly can't think Quebec will ever get another team.

in the winnipeg free press there is a story today on how garry bettman said that a 15000 - 16000 arena works for the nhl, the mts centre has 15002 and then the suites so we have a big enough arena
-
winnipeg will get an NHL team soon i think.......so will quebec

dude, last time the coyotes franchise turned a profit was the last year they were in winnipeg, so your gunna sit there and tell me that canada's game belongs down in the desert? my ass... winnipeg is the one and only place where that team belongs, so do your self a favour and go watch some football or something okay?
bring back the Jets, or at least put an NHL team in there. That farm team shud go into Vancouver were it belongs. Winnipeg needs a team.

Winnipeg deserves an NHL franchise so bad it isn't even funny. But instead we have to put up with the AHL. Unfair!
